A 501(c)(3) non-profit charity, Wang Foundation for Sight Restoration has helped patients from over 40 states in the US and 55 countries worldwide, with all sight restoration surgeries performed free-of-charge.
The foundation doctors published four major textbooks and a paper in the world renowned journal “Nature”, hold several US patents for inventions of new biotechnologies to restore sight, and performed the world’s first laser-assisted artificial cornea implantation.
The foundation’s originator, Dr. Ming Wang, is a Harvard & MIT (MD, magna cum laude) graduate, and one of the few cataract and LASIK surgeons in the world today who holds a doctorate degree in laserphysics. He has performed over 25,000 cataract and LASIK surgeries (including on over 3,000 doctors), and is a designated LASIK surgeon for ABC’s national hit reality TV show “Extreme Makeover”.
